Our organically crafted Pimento Leaf Essential Oil, is steam distilled from the leaves of the tall evergreen Pimenta dioica (synonym Pimenta officinalis) trees growing in the beautiful tropical Caribbean Islands. The benefits of Pimento Leaf Oil can be attributed to the high Eugenol content of the oil. Eugenol is also found in Clove (Syzygium aromaticum) oil, and they share many of the same health benefits.

The name Allspice originates from its similarities to the aroma of a combination of other sweet spices of Black Pepper, Clove and Cinnamon. Columbus originally brought Allspice back to Europe during the 18th Century thinking it was pepper, hence the name Pimenta. It quickly became popular among Europeans for its aromatic and medicinal qualities.
